Field Crew Needed

OPEN POSITION: Full time Field Crew person needed to join us at West Farm from August into November. Seeking a person who is energetic, likes being outside, can stay focused, and work at a quick pace. This is physical work, and it can be hard, but is also rewarding, stimulating, and uniquely enjoyable.This is an opportunity for those motivated to advance their knowledge and skills on a growing and dynamic farm business.

We are a diversified organic vegetable farm, perennial nursery, and fruit farm. Vegetable production at West Farm is a mixture of regional wholesale and direct-to-consumer sales through our year round farm store at The Farm Between. Strong emphasis on producing crops without the use of pesticides.

Qualifications:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions

Season goes from March through November, off-season work potentially available

Compensation dependent on experience and skill level.

Farm Stand & Nursery Attendant

Our busy farm stand and nursery is seeking a Retail Attendant for 2-3 shifts starting mid August at The Farm Between. Key responsibilities involve greeting customers, answering questions about veggies and plants, and processing payments using Square. Attendant also will prepare and package produce, arrange displays, assist with nursery sales, and maintain an inviting shopping environment. We are open year round and this role is a longer term position.

Qualifications:

Previous retail and Square POS experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.

Must enjoy engaging with the public, have a positive attitude, be willing to work independently, and have a sense of humor.

Knowledge of vegetables, fruit trees/bushes and perennial plants a plus.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
