Experienced Field Crew Positions

Seeking experienced workers to join our operation this year at West Farm. This is an opportunity for those motivated to advance their knowledge and skills on a growing and dynamic farm business.We are a diversified organic vegetable farm, perennial nursery, and fruit farm. Vegetable production at West Farm is a mixture of regional wholesale and direct-to-consumer sales through our year round farm store at The Farm Between. Strong emphasis on producing crops without the use of pesticides.

Qualifications: 

Minimum 2 years experience working with annual crops

Curiosity as well as ability to focus, think critically, and work independently

Positive attitude and ability to work at fast pace

Commitment to work 50+ hours during busiest parts of season

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions

Season goes from March through November, off-season work potentially available

Kitchen Lead Position

We’re seeking a part time farm-to-table kitchen staff person to take the lead on the prepared food aspect of our growing business. This position starts at 16-20 hours per week. This position starts small but has lots of room to expand in diverse ways.

This is an opportunity for a creative chef to expand and develop our in store food prepared food offerings. Our goal is to make affordable and nourishing food available to our customers using the best seasonal ingredients. We are looking for someone with initiative and passion to grow this enterprise.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

3+ years experience working in either a restaurant or production kitchen

Passion for nourishing food and the creativity to explore seasonal offerings

Strong understanding of food safety guidelines

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently as well as on a team

Prepare food for sale from prep to packaging

Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen

Create seasonal menu and recipes

Communicate inventory needs

Work closely with farm manager and owners
