Flowering Almond is a cold hardy ornamental plant native to Asia. This shrub not really an almond at all but boasts an array of pink and white blossoms in early spring in zones 3-7 and grows to be about 3-5’ tall and wide. It is a larval host to Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and can be planted 3’ apart if using as a hedgerow. It can be planted in variable soil types, is drought tolerant but does not do well in wet soil. Full sun to partial sun. Potted 1-2’. Self fertile.
