An heirloom variety. Small to medium-size fruit is golden-orange with russet skin. A high quality dessert apple that makes a good addition to hard cider. Ripens in October and keeps well in storage. Moderately disease resistant. Potted, requires a different variety for pollination such as GoldRush, Northern Spy, Honeycrisp, Empire or Dolgo Crabapple. Not a good pollinator for other varieties. Plant Semi Dwarf 15’ apart or Standard 25’ apart, in full sun.
