A TFB favorite!
Medium-sized dessert apple with red-pink stripes over yellow base. The skin can sometimes have a slightly mottled look. Very crisp and juicy, with sweet and nutty flavor akin to cherry or vanilla. Excellent for fresh eating, pies, and sauce, keeps well in storage. Harvest in late Sept, early fall. Hardy to Zone 3 and resistant to scab and fire blight. . 5’-6’ whip, semi-dwarf, requires another variety for pollination. Partners well with honeycrisp, Liberty, Gala, Golden Delicious and crabapples can also act as effective pollinators.
