Apple, Sansa
Sansa apple is an early-season apple variety known for its crisp texture, sweet flavor, and light tartness. It was developed in Japan by crossing the Gala and Akane apple varieties. Sansa apples have a bright red skin with yellow-green highlights and juicy white flesh. They are popular for fresh eating because of their aromatic flavor, but they can also be used in salads, sauces, and light baking. The fruit typically ripens in late summer, earlier than many other apple varieties. Stores well for a summer apple, disease-resistant. 6’ whip. Standard, requires a different variety for pollination.
Partners well with Honeycrisp, Cortland, Macoun and Freedom variety.
Available for ON-FARM PICK UP only.
