This variety of red berry elderberry is medicinal after cooked and best not eaten raw, due to toxicity of seeds. Different than Sambucus canadensis, RB elderberry flowers in early spring. Can be used in pies, jellies and wines.
Potted 12-18”, requires another variety for pollination.
