Heirloom European dessert pear, aka “Sugar Pear.” Fruit is yellow with russeting with red blush. Very sweet, juicy and fragrant with delicious skin. Pick in September, ripens off the tree. Prefers well drained soil and full sun.
Zone 4. Mature standard tree grows to be 18-20’ tall. Potted 3-5’ tree, requires second variety of pear for pollination such as Bartlett.
